SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Administrator will be a key member of the Corporate HR team. This position provides support and administers processes for all employees in accordance with terms and conditions of employment. The incumbent will ensure that information such as personal details, attendance and work history are entered accurately and efficiently into the HRIS system. Understanding of and proficiency in HRIS will allow the Human Resources Administrator to act as subject matter expert and respond to general inquiries from employees as well as creating ad-hoc or routine reports on an as-needed basis. As first point of contact for the HR department, you will respond to in-person, email and phone inquiries from employees on matters related to benefits, pension, vacation, and other HR functional areas.

Responsibilities

  • Administer processes including new hires, transfers, terminations and leave of absences
  • Update the HRIS, maintain personnel files, process salary adjustments, leaves and vacation
  • Maintain employee absence allocations in accordance with terms of leaves and vacation policies
  • Process initial STD benefit application forms
  • Prepare verification of employment letters and respond to external employment verification requests
  • Provide resource support for HR Business Partners, Managers and all Employees regarding navigation of HRIS Manager Self-Service and Employee Self-Service
  • Provide interpretation as front line facilitator for employee inquiries on HR employment policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Maintain excellent communication with all HR Business Partners, Managers and Employees

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of progressive Human Resources administrator experience
  • Post-secondary education in business administration, Human Resources or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Recruitment experience in finance, taxation, legal, information systems and technology is an asset
  • Strong customer service, relationship building, judgement and problem solving skills
  • Critical thinking and strong analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to thrive in an environment of ambiguity and change with opportunity to act in an autonomous manner
  • Strong integrity with ability to maintain confidential and highly sensitive information
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint required
